Palm is known for creating user-friendly hand held devices, and they haven't let us down this time.
The Palm TX is both innovative and easy to use, encompassing several features that its predecessors didn't have. With Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability it is perfect for the professional on the go, and the ability to download music, photos, and e-books in several formats makes it as useful as a mini-computer. The TX also includes a full color screen, one handed use capabilities, and a sleek stylish design.
Many software programs are available for the Palm TX, and the majority of them can be synchronized with your computer's programs. Software ranges from financial products, such as Quicken, to cookbooks, games, management software, and even document programs such as Microsoft Word.
But, as with all good things, the Palm TX also has a few shortcomings. Those using Windows Vista operating systems will have to download a separate software to connect it to their computer, and several features, such as Documents to Go, may function improperly or not at all because of this feature. Music files to be downloaded must be mp4 files, rather than mp3 files, meaning the user may have to change the format of the files first or repurchase the music online.
If its shortcomings can be overlooked, the Palm TX can be a useful and fun example of technology.
