After purchasing Caesar II and playing it off and on for the last couple of months, I finally was getting the hang of how to play the game. A few nights ago a relative dropped off Caesar III for me to give a try. WOW !!
I am truly amazed at the difference between the two games. The graphics in Caesar III are so much crisper and more realistic.
With Caesar III, like Caesar II, you build your own Roman Empire. You decide what goes where and how much to put there. Creating an empire from scratch is extremely tough, considering that you have to put farms, wharehouses, graineries, and docks all in the right places in order for them to produce goods. Your city thrives on what you build and where you build them. The plebations in the city are definitely hard to please so you have to be very creative in order to win them over.
You have total control over how much taxes they are going to pay, the workers wages, and the unemployment level. After having the game for about four day's now, I have spent soo many hours on here building, and building with my husband's help. He really does not get into PC games but this one definitely captured his attention and he is just about as addicted as I am.
So if you think you have what it takes to become an Emporer, give Caesar III a try. This game definitely puts your creativity and economical knowledge to the test. Once again I am heading back to my city.......
