Pros: Multiplayer was addicting. Great Gameplay.
Cons: Graphics are outdated, other than that, great!
The bottom line: Pick it up if you want to play.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon is an incredibly fun first person shooter. If you like military squad based games, this is definately for you. The graphics (when it came out) were pretty top-notch and had some extremely fun multiplayer gametypes. I actually didn't start playing this game until Island Thunder was already out (which I played like crazy!) and it still held up as a great game. The sounds in the game really made it seem realistic, like you were actually there on the battlefield. I mean, looking back at it today, the game doesn't hold up in terms of graphics and presentation, but the gameplay is still one the best shooters there has been. Everything worked in it, it wasn't that hard to pick up and play, and the fact that it actually played like a tactical shooter made it stand out from the rest.
Okay, let's now talk about it's Xbox Live play. In simple terms, "it was fantastic." There were plenty of maps available, all with different environments. You could choose what class you wanted to play as, Rifleman, Snipers, Support, and Demolition, and then pick your gun kit, which there were also plenty to choose from. You could play the multiplayer portion of this game for hours on end and not get bored, something that's hard to come by these days (except GRAW, hehe).
Presentation:
One big gripe about the presentation of this game was that the menus were kinda difficult to navigate through (kinda like GR2). This drove me nuts a bit, but this was fixed by the time Island Thunder came out.
Graphics:
In it's day, Ghost Recon for the Xbox had some pretty sweet graphics, unlike other games on the market back then. It seemed pretty realistic and along with the sound made a great gaming experience.
Sound:
The sound in this game was pretty fantastic when it was released. Everything seemed very realistic and gave the gamer a great gaming experience. Explosions, bullets firing...exerything was great!
Gameplay:
This was probably my favorite aspect of this game. It played like a great military squad based shooter and was very tactical, unlike the run and gun games we find on the market today. The gameplay is truly what gave this game it's kick.
Lasting Appeal:
With it's great multiplayer aspects and Live capabilities, this game had great lasting appeal. People played it up to and through GRIT, and some even played till GR2 came out. Talk about lasting appeal...this game definatley had some!!!
