Amped 3 is sure out there. The people that came up with this game must have been on something. I mean, this whole game is just plain wacky. This may turn some hardcore snowboarders off but it also invites those new to the sport to have a go. I have never snowboarded but I had fun playing this game. That is, until I got bored. You see, this is a very repetitive game after a while. Still, it's a game I go back to and play every once in a while. For the twenty dollars I paid for it new, it gave me about eight solid hours of play before I got bored. That's not too bad. Yes, twenty dollars is what I paid at Wal*Mart a year ago. This is much cheaper than the prices listed by Epinions, so if you're interested just shop around at your local stores.

The plot is most definitely the highlight of Amped 3. It is filled with absolutely ridiculous ideas and challenges. The craziness translates into lots of laughter and good times. I don't want to say too much so I'll leave it at that.

The accessibility of this game to new players is good and it also has its benefits for the hardcore gamers. For beginners the game isn't punishing at all. You just need to start at the top of one of the mountains and go. It doesn't really matter if you know how to do the best tricks, you'll have fun anyways. For more hardcore gamers, the more you play, you become able to perform the best tricks flawlessly and you can show up your friends, just not on Live.

The only online content is a leaderboard. Kind of a disappointment but this game didn't cost too much so it didn't matter that much to me.

The graphics are nice but not the best on the Xbox 360 at this time. They are a cartoon/realistic mix and the game is very colorful and happy. The menus also carry the crazy themes along.

If you like this game enough to play it for a long time, there are many different outfits and boards to unlock. There is also plenty of mountain to explore.

Overall, I was happy with this game but it got old after a while. I would not suggest renting it seeing as how its retail price is so low now. If it sounds good to you then try it.
