Pros: Realistic Courses, lots of customizable options, tour and career gameplay
Cons: Sensitive controls, some challenges are lengthy, online could be better
The bottom line: Tiger Woods 08 still manages to reach out to many audiences. Lots of customization, lots of pros, and hard to master gameplay will keep you coming back.

The one thing about the Tiger Woods franchise that is so unique is that it appeals to many audiences. There are those looking for more of an arcade simulation of the game of golf and those looking for a near to life simulator that can allow them to golf Pebble Beach in their living rooms. Tiger Woods 08 once again is attractive to both of those audience bases. With the availability of many mini games and whackey characters there is a just for fun aspect to the game. A fully customizable character and the progression of stats also adds for a fun aspect of the game without any relation to the ultra realistic gameplay. Now, for those who are interested in being on tour but only go golfing once a week (when there wife lets them) and have a beer belly that puts John Daily to shame can have there shot at greatness! Gourgeous recreations of some of the most famous courses in the world make this a must see for any golf fan. Every detail of the course is attended to, really showing off the power of the PS3. Unlike previous Tiger Woods game this is a bit difficult to get used to and tough to hit a consistantly good shot. This means yes, you who slices to the farmers field will probably do the same your first couple rounds of Tiger 08. The positive is once you get used to the sensitivity new features such as shot confidence add a whole new perspective to the franchise and make this one of the most innovative Tiger Woods yet.
