Pros: Unrivaled atmosphere of pure horror, terror and disgust.
Cons: Inconvenience with control & camera angles.

Pros: -New charge up weapons system

Pros: Interesting new two-way system. One world's yours, and the other's theirs.
Cons: More weird than scary, Silent Hill 4 removes some of the series' traditional possessions.
The Bottom Line: Contrasted from its previous titles, Silent Hill 4 takes a new path that ultimately doesn't offer a better experience...just a different one.

Pros: Creepy story is present and accounted for.
Cons: The new inventory system sucks, and the camera needs to die.
The Bottom Line: The series continues to spiral downward, but there's enough interesting stuff here to warrant a rental.

Pros: The game sets an unsettling tone.
Cons: Which the gameplay smashes with a wrecking ball.
The Bottom Line: If you can overlook the major flaws this game has, and can put up with how frustrating it is, the story should be satisfactory. Otherwise avoid it.

Pros: Great sound and graphics, some absolutely ghoulish concepts and chilling music
Cons: Uneven fun, deadly slow beginning, bored-sounding voice actors, room possession, inventory overflow, load times
The Bottom Line: Marvelous graphics and sound, but SH4 is dragged down by uneven voice acting, bogus-looking cinemas, Godot-like action lags, and Room possessions. Nearly recommended.
