Pros: Simple battle system Traditional RPG Lots of dialogue
Cons: Time consuming

This has been the first Dragon Quest game that I have ever played. I thought that the game was somewhat decent. One thing that you will not like about the game is that you can't view the characters when you're making a decision of you want to do (Fight, use magic, items, etc). The battle system is very simple as it is like other RPG strategy games. One of the great things about this game are all the lands that you can explore. However, there is a downside to this. The downside is that it takes forever to get from one place to another (Unless you use Action Replay or Game Shark). It literally took me ten minutes to walk from one city to another. Last, but not least, another downside is that you can't see the enemies beforehand. You are walking one minute and all of a sudden the screen fades into battle. It'd be nice if the player could see the enemy.
