Pros: This game is huge ! High replay value, addictive gameplay.
Cons: Loose controls at times. Camera doesn't follow accurately at times.
The bottom line: I highly recommend this game. Technically it won't blow you away but gameplay is top-notch!
This game is a great break from other intensive action, kill or be killed games. If you just have an hour to kill and want to relax while riding through huge, well-layed out levels this game is for you. Personally I'm not into BMX but I can appreciate pulling off the tricks in this game and the freedom you get from just cruising around massive levels trying to find out how to get on top of a building or looking for massive gaps to jump all the while pulling off cool tricks on your bike. The graphics aren't mindblowing but definetely sufficient. The game has several modes but the Proquest is the main game. This involves picking a rider and then completing the challenges for example you might have to "jump a cop car" or "grind over 500 feet"! Also there are records for all categories and jumping gaps must be completed too. You then get better bikes, sponsors, and unlock future levels. There is no feeling of being hurried in this game and the pace is pretty relaxing. A free-ride mode is available where you can just cruise around joy-riding. The music is pretty limited and more songs would have been nice but you can always turn the music off anyway. The controls aren't bad when doing tricks but sometimes it seems your bike has a mind of it's own. Keeping it stopped can be a problem. There are some clipping (moving through solid objects) problems and a few times I found myself reeling through space (nothingness) but also realized this is a good time to pull off some crazy stunts...hehe. Overall I really like this game and keep coming back to it trying to complete new challenges. The game is massive and I've enjoyed several hours without even denting it's completion. Of course I always rent before I buy just to be sure.
