This is a true Colin.After Colin McRae has changed his team he is now driving a Citroen and after few months from the third part we get another sequel.The new codriver is Deren Ringer and he has made a great job.First two games brought realistic model of driving, but third sequel has lost his ambitions and decided to gather fans only by its driving model.The authors had definetly succeded in that.You can feel dimensions and weight of the car.Set up of the car is also very realistic and important in this fourth sequel.When you drive the easiest mode, you won't notice that, but later, when you develop, every little detail will become more and more important. Your tyres, brakes, everything.And the damages are great.You must be carefull not to destroy your car that much because every hit, too hight jump will affect the driving and will bring problems in the servis. Every part of the car is important so you must take care not to damage it.You drive your rally at eight different locations:USA, Finland, Spain, Sweden, Greece, Australia , Japan and England.In Sweden the surface is covered by snow, and Japan is wet. Althought WRC 3 has 14 locations, you will have to forgive Colin because it's a great game and you will soon forget it's bad parts and focus only on good things.The roads are very long and they variate from time to time.Your car is also very important.
There are four classes of cars:4WD(Citroen Xsara, Subaru Impreza, Ford Focus, Lancer Evo 7, Peugeot 206), 2WD(MG ZR, Citroen Saxo, Ford Puma, Fiat Punto, VW Golf), Group B(Audi Quattro, Peugeot 205 T16, Ford RS200, Lancia 037)-but they are impossible to drive, and Bonus cars(MGC, Lancia Delta, Integrale, Ford Escort RS1600,Mitsubishi Pajero, Subau Impreza 22B, Ford Transit Van, Citroen 2CV). Last time we could only drive Ford Focus,now we have all this cars at our service, except the Bonus cars which we get when we pass championships.If you decide to take Ford Focus again , maybe you will have small problems. Now it is harder to control it than the last time. If you are begginer I recommend you to take Citroen Xsara. But there is a bad part of the game. The camera situated on the front part of the car now doesn't exist, so we must satisfy with the things we are given. If you want to drive from the drivers perspective you will need to do a hell of a job. It is bloody hard. Except the small author's mistakes I must say that Colin McRae is much much better then the WRC series. If you don't believe me, borrow the game or buy it.
