The bottom line: a very fun game for fans of Yu-Gi-Oh and for fans of card games like Magic:the Gathering.
Based on the popular cartoon series and card game from Japan,its Yu-Gi-Oh:Forbidden Memories.

You play as YuGi and your goal is pretty simple- get millennium puzzles and keep them away from the bad guys. To accomplish this, you need to duel them in card games.


Here is main points on how to duel,

-You start with 40 cards and earn 1 card for each win. No card loss for when you get defeated.

-You can put one card on the field per turn

-You can fuse cards in your hand and/or cards on field+hand

-Fusion means to combine 2 or more cards to make a new and (usually) more powerful card

-There is several types of cards-monster, equip, magic, terrain,ritual and trap

-You win the duel when you get opponent's life points to 0 or if opponent runs out of cards before you do. One other way to win is if you have all 5 Exodia cards in your hand.

-There is 2 types of wins- POW-which you get when you beat the opponent really quick with strong monsters, and TEC-you get when you make the game go until the decks are low or opponent is out of cards. Each POW or TEC win is graded with 4 letters. S-best,gives u 5 starchips, A-gives u 4 starchips, B-gives u 3, C-gives u 2, D-gives u 1.

-You can have up to 3 of each card in your deck. But each of the 5 Exodia cards are 1 per deck.

Card information

Monster cards- main type of card, used to attack opponent with. Each card has 2 cosmic symbols it can be. There is 10 cosmic symbols in all, each one has 1 advantage and 1 disadvantage.

Equip- a form of magic card, fuse it with a monster to make it stronger.

Magic- several types of these,direct attack-can attack opponent without using monster, heal-heals your life points, Raigeki-destroys all opponent's monsters, and others

Terrain- card that changes field into a certain type that favors some monsters,and hurts others

Trap- card that is used when a monster attacks, it can kill monster or block certain attacks

Ritual- Sacrifice a few monsters to get a certain monster with Ritual cards


There is several modes in this game,I will review each one.

Campaign- this is where you go to different places and fight people in card duels. Main part of the game

Free Duel- anyone you have beat in campaign shows up here. Also Duel Master K is already on free duel when the game starts. He has a deck exactly like yours,so you can learn how to fuse with cards in your deck.

2 player duel- 2 people can duel. Terrible mode because you can see other person's cards!

Password- Trade in your starchips(u can earn 1-5 per win) for a card.

Trade- Trade with a friend, Also you can give cards to a friend.


A pretty fun game with alot of months of replay if you like Yu-Gi-Oh or card games. Tons of fusions in the game makes it fun also.
