Pros: cute, challenging at times, great graphics, good music
Cons: Spyro's voice and the difficulty

This is the first game I have ever finished in my life. That says something about the game. It hooked me for long enough.
There are many great things about playing this game:
Spyro the Dragon is amazing. Simply amazing. The graphics are unbelievable. Since this is in 3D-platform style, each world and level are carefully detailed. It takes gaming to a new and wonderful level.
The story line of the game is aimed at younger gamers. It's a fun dragon world with elder dragons and of course, Spyro. He's a little hero; there's no doubt in my mind that kids love playing as a purple dragon.
However, this game appeals to a wide variety. From child to adult, everyone's amused by searching for treasure and flaming your enemies. You just have to appreciate all the effort that was put into this game.
The music will keep you going. It's cute and peppy. And yet, each tune is different in almost every level.
This game does have several flaws, it's certainly not perfect:
The voice overs are terrible. Though they help you keep up with the story and you can get gaming tips from the elder dragons, Spyro's voice is incredibly whiny. He's almost got too much attitude. That little dragon's full of it. Plus, the other dragons have stupid and/or annoying comments. That's why you should do your best to skip all voice overs.
There's a lack a difficulty in this game. Though it's challenging(and sometimes annoying) for even expert gamers in several levels, the overall difficulty is not too high. It kept me going for a while, but I am not too experienced. Experts will finish this in a matter of weeks if they play it enough.
Still, Spyro is a cute little dragon. I ask you, who can resist his charm? He is, yet another, unauthorized Playstation mascot. With the great graphics and fun music, this will always be a classic game for Playstation. One you'll be able to play again and again.
