This Spyro game is in my opinion the best one.
The Story:
Every twelve years, the Year of the Dragon festival happens. The fairies bring the new dragon eggs and dragons come from all over to celebrate the new generation.

On the other side of the world is a kingdom that has been forgotten for so long that even the legends of the forgotten kingdom have been forgotten.

Back in that time, a Sorceress had made all of the dragons leave her land. And now she's sorry she did it! And not in a good way.
When the dragons left the kingdom, all the magic in the land began to fade away. Now it's almost gone. So the Sorceress has decided to steal this year's new dragon eggs- all 150 of them!

There are playable characters in this game, such as hunter, who was only in the speedways of the original Spyro game- but was really introduced in Spyro 2. There is also Sheila the kangaroo, Agent 9, and Sergeant Byrd. I thought Hunter's, Sheila's, and Byrd's tasks were easy, but Agent 9's tasks were very difficult.

Sparks even is able to play a real part in this game! He has four worlds all to himself. Each of these worlds has a boss and all are very difficult to get through. When Sparks finishes one of the worlds, he is rewarded with an egg and with a new ability! New abilities include one more hit, pointing out gems you miss, and being able to pick out gems from father away!

If I didn't get the pointing out gems ability, I would have never been able to reach the bonus world.

I liked the names of the home worlds, Sunrise Spring, Midday Gardens, Evening Lake, and Midnight Mountain. All named after a time of the day and beautiful nature. Nice names.

There is a skate park in each world; you just have to find its portal in one of the levels. The skate parks are cool! It's kind of like playing a Tony Hawk game. There is even a cheat where you can turn your skateboard into a squid!

All worlds have a speedway where you race that speedway's champions and do a course. This is where you get to be Hunter and have to defeat the sheep saucers, weird, huh?

The home worlds are extremely easy, there are no enemies and there is no way at all to get killed.

To progress to a new world, you have to defeat the boss of the world. The bosses are hard, but not very hard. Once you get the pattern of what they are doing, you can defeat them in no time. I was able to defeat one of the bosses on one try!

There is one world in this game, Frozen Altars, where you are given breath ability, ice breath. This breath ability can only be used in this level. You cannot flame creatures here, they either have to be frozen and charged, or burned up with the giant magnifying glasses on top of the towers. This level can be a little difficult.
The breath abilities were later misused in "Enter the Dragonfly" and "A New Beginning."

Frozen Altars also features Yeti boxing! There are 2 eggs in the boxing ring. The first one was gotten on one try. To get the second one, you have to go through 3 rounds against the other yeti. On the second try, I defeated the other yeti in 2 rounds! This earned me a skill point.

Skill points are given for certain tasks. Like flaming all of the trees in a level, or defeating the yeti in 2 rounds.

Do all of these tasks and there will be a new area opened up in the atlas which should show cool, new behind the scenes things!
I haven't yet got all of the skill points, so I don't know what you get to see.

Some skill points are difficult to do, while others were done by accident! For a complete list of skill points, visit www.spyroforum.com

If you get all of the gems and eggs, you will be able to enter a whole new world!
The Bonus World has a skate park, an area that is somewhat like a speedway, and a boss

After you defeat the Sorceress, you get to make that greedy bear, Moneybags give back all of the gems he made you give him.
This can be real fun as Moneybags is a real pain!

Getting your gems back is easy, you chase Moneybags around like a thief (wonder where they got that idea!), but you have to hit him several times. When you hit him, a stream of gems comes from him to you.

When he has no more gems, an egg will appear. Making 6 eggs in Midnight mountain home world.

The side games were really fun! A few were really easy, but most were really hard.

As with all play station games, I could see through the walls at times, but other than that, the graphics were awesome!

I found no glitches that affected my game play.

I did find one world that where I somehow wound up with 301/300 gems!

This game can be found on Ebay for $2 + shipping or less

Rated for everyone, I agree, as this game is gentle enough for even the youngest minds.

I6t took me two weeks to finish this game
