Pros: Great graphics, awesome ships and weapons, nice music, interesting sound effects, original monsters.
Cons: Hard... And hard... And did I mention the game is hard?
The Bottom Line: This is a great game, with neato graphics, awesome music, great sounds, and is just... great. It's just hard, but you get used to it.

Pros: R-type Platinum coated, new ships, new weapons, great graphics, nothing lost from the old games we love and new options we always wanted.
Cons: Skill necessary is rather high to not be frustrated.
