Finally, a dope sim. Real players, smooth graphics, classic Madden gameplay, and more plays. This is the best football gane ever to hit the Playstation. The juke button is expanded - now you can juke left and right at your own control. The commentary doesn't get on your nerves like the old Madden games, and the players jerseys and names are even readable. The price is extremely reasonable, and if you are familiar with the old Madden, then gameplay on this disk should be a breeze. The load time, for some reason can be really slow. It also irritated the hell out of me when the system froze for periods up to two minutes before hiking the ball. But all that aside this blows away the 989 series of football sims, and has much more fluid gameplay. Shoestring tackles and (finally) real breakaway speed are included. Don't try beating the Jags with the Saints in this one, good teams are good and the bad are bad. Also, one will love the freedom of running the ball, no more fake runs, you're in control this time. Buy this game and avoid all the other football sims.
