You know, this game rules. I MUST be the biggest sports game fan in the world, because 18 of my 23 PlayStation games are sports, counting wrestling. Madden is soooooooo awesome, and from me, that means a lot, because nothing in the sports category would get an almost perfect score from me besides this game.

The gameplay is a ten, it is for the most part easy, but what sports game isn't? The pass game, in my opinion, is harder than the rush, because (finally) the CPU plays good coverage. As in all Madden games, the receiver selection is as easy as 1,2,3, because all you have to do is press one button. The rush defense by the CPU is OK, but I found that if you use the juke moves, you can bust out a first down on 2, sometimes 1 carry. I had one game on All-Pro mode where I was the Panthers and Fred Lane (the funniest dancer in the world) had 405 yards on 20 carries, for an average of 20.2 yards, and 7 TD's. However, this is the only game on All-Pro I got above 100 yards rushing.

The sound is great, but not perfect. The commentary is MUCH better than last year, but nothing to cheer about. I do like the player taunts and grunts, however sometimes hard to hear.

What can I say, the graphics are off the hook. Perfect for a PlayStation game. Don't compare these graphics to the PC version, because you will be disappointed. The uniforms are intact, and, if you play a game in the rain on natural grass, players will gradually get muddy as they are tackled more and more.

There are many features in this game, but at first I was disappointed because the one of a kind Madden Fantasy Draft (you know, the one with 16 fake team names and real cities unused by the NFL) was nowhere to be found. however I found it hidden under the Tournament feature, and I rejoiced. I also like the new Madden Challenge feature, where you complete in game tasks and answer questions and you earn secret codes.

Another cool feature is the phat franchise mode, where you assume the position of head coach and general manager of your favorite team. You must sign free agents, draft rookies, and most importantly, WIN GAMES to save your job.

The player's tilt isn't perfect, because of the sometimes tough menu navigating.

Madden 2K is the football game of the future. Although Gameday is a great and fun game, this game blows it away. A must buy for sports fans!
