Any of you who are familiar with the original Grand Theft Auto already know the basic concepts of the game: get points for stealing cars, crashing into cars, hitting people, shooting people, and doing jobs for "the boss". Unlike many game sequels, GTA 2 has stuck with that same concept, only improved on the game's graphics, sound, game play, and over all fun.
One of the largest additions to the playing is the choice of several gangs to do jobs for. As a gang's respect for you goes up, other gang's respect will fluctuate accordingly. This will tell you who you're enemies are, and who will hire you. The weapons have been improved on as well, adding my personal favorite the Molotov cocktail bombs. In the first GTA you will remember the police. Now there are police, SWAT, special agents, and others depending on how much havoc you have reeked on the city. This is not a problem though, because the single greatest addition to the game which everyone was complaining about in the first GTA is the addition of car weapons. You can wire your car with machine guns, oil, and bombs. Even if you didn't like the first GTA, this is a must for all gamers.
