The Metal Gear series has been around for a long time. The first Metal Gear game was released in1988. This is probably the most major change in the Metal Gear franchise. Instead of being a real time stealth action game, Metal Gear Ac!d is a turn based card game.

If you are looking for another Metal Gear game that is like the other ones this is not for you. Instead of being directed by Hideo Kojima this game is directed by Shinta Nojiri. The story is less realistic than the others in the series. I don't want to give any spoilers for the story. For some reason Snake says, “Right” as a full sentence about a million times in the game.

The gameplay in this game is very fun. I really like the card battling, but I wish that they would have kept it like the Metal Gear Solid 1-3. You unlock more cards as you go along and different cards from different games. There are cards from the old Metal Gears, Metal Gear Solid 1-3, Zone of the Enders, and Metal Gear Acid exclusives. Metal Gear Acid is basically like chess with many more moves. Sometimes MGA can run slowly when there is a lot of action going on.

The sound is the one thing in Metal gear that bothers me. THERE ARE NO VOICES. Yeah that gets really annoying not being able to hear the voices of Solid Snake, Teliko, Roger, and all of the other guys in the game. The music is usually ok, but in some of the missions they are pretty cool.

The difficulty is just right. Not to hard, not to easy. You can also save in the middle of a battle and pick it up later to play from the same place. The game is pretty long clocking in at 24-30 hours. The replay value is really good because you can replay the missions and try to get a better rating. Overall in my opinion this game rocks. If you are willing to look past this game being a card game instead of being like the other Metal Gears you should get this.
