Looking for an EC game? Look no further.
Pros: Good for young children. Variety of games. Young children enjoy winning prizes.
Cons: Cannot use Mii characters. A few games are too frustrating for young children.
The bottom line: My final recommendation is this is a good game for children ages 4 . This is a good game to play for a "family night".

I bought my 9 year old daughter and 4 year old son the Wii for Christmas. I looked at games at local retail stores but wasn't sure what to get them based on their age and gaming abilities. I certainly did not want to spend $50 per game and find that they do not like them or cannot play them.
So initially, I went to Amazon.com and looked at video games and read the reviews. I saw this game had an overall rating of 4 stars and highly recommended for younger children.
I bought this game at Wal-Mart for $39.97. This was the only store; at the time, where I could find this game.
Both my son and daughter were very excited about this game. Some of the games listed in the book were their favorite games they play at Dave and Buster's. They were excited they could play these games at home.
It took a little practice for my 4 year son on how to use the Wii remote with some of the games. It did not take him long to get the movements down. He did show some frustration with the timing requirements needed with some of the games like Dunk Tank. He was also frustrated with having to shake the Wii remote for Clown Splash and Test Your Strength.
My kids do not play all the games on Carnival Games. We all have tried every game but certain games such as Nerves of Steel and Pigskin Pass we never play because we find them to be difficult and frustrating.
My 4 year old son really loves playing Ka Pow, Alley Ball, Frog Leap, and Ring Toss. My 9 year old daughter loves to play Bowler Coaster, Alley Ball, Balloon Darts, Spilled Milk and Day at the Races.
I enjoy playing some of the games with the kids. This is not a game a single 30 something mother plays. But I did not buy the Wii or the games for myself. This is an family enjoyable, kid friendly, non-violent game.
Other notables. My son loves winning prizes. He'll go back to the Character screen and open up his new prizes. One of his favorites is adding elephant feet to his character. He also loves to edit his character often, changing the clothes, face, hair and so on. Winning wearable items makes it more exciting for him so he doesn't mind not being able to play with his Mii character!
My daughter does not play this game much. But she will play if her brother asks and if we all play together. Also note that you cannot play all of the games with 3 or more people unless you have 3 or more controllers, for example: Shooting Gallery. We only have 2 Wii controllers. But most games can be played with 3 people sharing 2 remotes.
There are not alot of video games out there that cater to younger children. I've heard from sales associates at Best Buy and Toys R Us that more EC (Early Childhood) rated games will be coming out.
