Pros: Intuitive, 'old-school' fun
Cons: There is a LOT of reading to do throughout the game (lots of dialogue)
The bottom line: This game is a truly good, old-fashioned-friendly, fun game

In all honesty I have been out of the video gaming world after Sega Genesis. I just lost the appeal to play games I basically felt I needed to study the instruction manual and controls for. That all changed when the Nintendo Wii came out with its new innovative interaction controls. Although Super Paper Mario doesn't take advantage of this new aspect of the Wii as much as other games, it is still a great game which any of us who enjoyed the classics will relate to. I purchased this game online at amazon.com for their then sale price of $29.99 and it was well worth it. It is truly a game I would call 'fun' for all ages.
Mario must save a Princess again, but this time it's a different enemy. Also, this time the world is viewed in a 2d view and/or a 3D view to uncover hidden items. This makes the opportunity for secrets/cheats huuuuuge. The controls are very easy to understand and pick up and there is mroe interaction with other characters. Actually there is quite a bit of interaction with other characters, which I was not use to. The interaction was actually really funny; like Shrek-style adult, but kid-friendly, humour. The game is suitable for kids and not too patronizing for adults either; it's great for everyone. That may be one of my favorite parts, although there is a lot of reading to do throughout the game. Coins are still a big part of the game and can actually be used for more than just points now.
