Cons: Long intro and learning curb. Not near as fun while playing the computer.
The bottom line: If you want fast paced action driving and don't mind a bit of up front learning curb then you should definitely try this game out.
I received this game after not even asking for it at all. To my surprise someone bought it for me and I loved it. It is a bit confusing at first as the menus look kind of strange (you'll understand if you see them) but they are not beyond figuring out. After about a 30-40 min learning curb you should be well on your way to racing. There is a single player mode that allows you to play the computer, but I have got to say that if you aren't playing this game with your friends then you are missing the whole point. Challenging and zinging your buddies after you smoked them on the track is the best part.
There are three main types of races. The drifting, made famous by "Tokyo Drift", long distance racing where you run several laps before winning while just trying to keep your car going as fast as possible without wrecking, and the short and sweet drag race where you hit three fast races one right after another.
Overall, if you want to play alone, it's like pretty much any other game. But if you plan on playing with your friends then be prepared to have a blast.
