Wrestle Mania 2000

Pros: Great grappling system! Good create-a-wrestler. Great multi-player mode.
Cons: Semi-good graphics. Occasionally, poor sound. Some submissions are glitched.

The bottom line: It is near flawless, and one of the better wrestling games out there. I say, buy it for a good time!

Wrestle Mania 2000 is undoubtedly one of the greatest wrestling games I have ever played, and I consider it to be the greatest wrestling game of all time. The game's controls are probably the best pare of it; everything just fits. Countering moves is a very precise process, and it is very satisfying once you get it down, but that doesn't mean that you mastered the game. The graphics are good and solid, and when you hit someone, it really feels like it because of the harsh sounding slap that accompany the punch, but the character faces are just picture's of wrestler's faces applied to head, and do not move. The music is good, and it gets your adrenaline pumping, but the game has only about 2 rock beats. Also, the titan tron sound and video are, sadly, terrible quality. The adventure mode, Road to Wrestle Mania, is essentially just a series of matches that are preset for you to complete. The game types (single match, triple threat, tag team, steel cage, and Royal Rumble) are all pretty cool, too. And the steel cage is, for some reason, awesome in this game. The game's best mode, though, is multi-player. This is where it really shines. It can be anywhere form 1 on 1 to 4 on 36 in a glorious Royal Rumble. The addition of blood makes it really sweet. And the create-a-wrestler is amazing. You have lots of faces, hair, shirts, pants, and colors to choose from, and there is like a hundred of so moves to choose from, fighting stances, even how often your character will bleed! To sum it up, Wrestle Mania 2000 is one of the best wrestling games of all time, and a great multi-player experience. If you have a N64, go pick it up for under 3 bucks. I give it a 9.5, out of 10.
