Pros: best wrestling game available!
Cons: no Ric Flair:( WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
The bottom line: This game stands as my favorite wrestling game of all time. What it lacks in graphics it makes up in fun and gameplay!

In 1998, wrestling was THE thing to watch. Between WCW Nitro and WWF Raw, there was little else people watched on Monday night except football. It was only natural that there would be a wrestling videogame available to cash in on this phenomenon. The second of it's type(WCW World Tour was released in 1997), WCW/NWO Revenge had all of the major players involved in WCW programming at that time. In my opinion, having played many wrestling games on many different gaming systems, this is my favorite. It seems as if the new wrestling games concentrate so much on the graphics that the gameplay has suffered a bit. Sure you can throw guys off a balcony and wrestler in the boiler room in the new games, but what happened to good old fashion wrestling?
As far as the graphics go, the characters are totally distinguishable and real looking. That does not mean that you will feel as if you are controlling the characters on a live edition of Raw! However, this does mean that you get to control your favorite WCW wrestler with smooth movements and real looking wrestling moves.
Whether you are playing by yourself or with a friend, this game is a blast to play. I have been playing this game with my buddies since I bought it in 1998. I never get tired of teaming up with a good friend to beat the crap out of two computer-controlled grapplers. Some games get old after you have beat them, but not this game. That is the best part about any sports game - there will never be two matches or games that are exactly the same. That is why there are still people out there playing Nintendo Tecmo Bowl this very minute!
Anyways......as far as the characters go, the game provides you with all of the best from WCW during this time period. Whether you were a fan of the NWO, Wolfpack, WCW, or even the Flock, this game has got your man. Goldberg, Sting, Hogan, Raven, Piper, Giant. Booker T, Benoit, Mysterio, etc......they are all there. The only character that is missing is the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who was involved in a lawsuit with WCW at that time(actually, by the time the game was released, Flair was with WCW again!).
