In the year 1998 Nintendo's powerful 64-Bit video game system The Nintendo 64 (N64) had an incredible roster of games but it only got better with what I believe is arguably the greatest video game of all time and that is Turok 2: Seeds of Evil which if you have played other first person shooters like Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, and Goldeneye then this is what this game is like only much more blood!

My Take: I feel Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is one of the greatest games of all time because the story is incredible, the graphics especially when enhanced with the Expansion Pak are simply beautiful, the control is decent, the weapons are awesome, the enemies are some of greatest looking and it is amazing how intelligent they are, and the musical score is one of the greatest if not the most remarkable piece of music ever written! I love how the game has so many elements and different kinds of regional areas. I absolutely adore the variety of enemies from dinosaurs, intelligent Insects, aliens, and other fantastic creatures and another thing is that the levels are huge! Below there will be more information in this in-depth comment!

The Story: After Turok (Joshua Fireseed) disposed the Chronoscepter into a raging volcano it caused a huge chain reaction, a devastating earthquake! Under the planet lies an extraordinary secret. A secret that could change the fate of not only the gorgeous planet but also the entire universe and all of its galaxies! The secret is millions of years old but will not remain a secret long because destiny foresees it to revealed. A deadly extraterrestrial has been dormant and now has awoken. The Primagen will use all of the evil he can rule! Can Fireseed with the help of the lovely Adon and his elders stop this incredible force or will everything that is known and beyond be ruled by a being known as the Primagen?

THE WEAPONS:

1. Flare Gun: For those darkened areas the Flare Gun comes in handy!

2. Talons: A basic claw that straps around Turok's hand.

3. War Blade: The War Blade is a huge doubled-edged blade that straps around Turok's wrist and can shred through just about anything!

4. Bow: A basic bow with regular arrows.

5. Tek Bow: The highly advanced bow has a special scope capable of sniper vision. Its arrows are extremely powerful. Once an arrow goes through its target the arrow will explode within a few seconds.

6. Pistol: A basic pistol that fires regular bullets.

7. Mag .60: A much more powerful handgun is the Mag .60. It fires the same bullets as the pistol but holds much more and gives it a greater blast.

8. Tranquilizer Gun: This gun can knock out most enemies for a brief period.

9. Charge Dart Rifle: The Charge Dart Rifle is much more powerful the Tranquilizer Gun because once charged it shocks the enemy and while they cannot move for a brief time they can be shot with another weapon.

10. Shotgun: A powerful double-barreled Shotgun. It has regular shells and explosive shells.

11. Shredder: Another powerful gun is the Shredder. Like the Shotgun that it replaces, the Shredder also fires regular shells and explosive shells. Once fired either type of shell has a devastating effect!

12. Plasma Rifle: The Plasma Rifle fires powerful plasma and the rifle has a scope for night vision.

13. Firestorm Cannon: A huge multi-barreled gun with a powerful blast!

14. Sunfire Pods: Once thrown to the ground these large ball shaped fragments will cause enemies to not be able to see and severely damage them as well.

15. Cerebral Bore: An alien weapon, the Cerebral Bore can only fire one of its ammunition against an enemy so it will be able to cause damage but the enemy must be an intelligent creature so it can follow and lock onto the skull, drain the fluid out of the cranium, and explode the noggin.

16. PFM Layer (Proximity Fragmentation Mine Layer) : A very dangerous weapon. Once the mines are set any movement from an enemy will cause it to go off and cause severe injury if not death.

17. Grenade Launcher: Once a grenade is launched it will cause major damage.

18. Scorpion Missile Launcher: Firing three heat-seeking missiles at a time will give any creature that means harm to Turok anything but a charm.

19. Flame Thrower: A powerful flame throwing weapon!

20. Razor Wind: A super sharp circular saw that Turok throws to an enemy and returns like a boomerang with a lot of juice!

21. Nuke Weapon: After defeating all of the Flesh Eaters and combining all of the nuke parts, This becomes Turok's most powerful weapon in his arsenal!

22. Spear Gun: This gun is only available in under water missions.

23. Torpedo Launcher: This weapon is only available in under water missions.

24. . 20 mm Cannon: This weapon is equipped on the friendly Triceratops.

25: Artillery: This weapon is equipped on the friendly Triceratops.

CHARACTERS:

The Primagen: The Primagen is a large humanoid insectoid alien being. He is superbly intelligent but in order to escape his lightship his minions must destroy the energy totems and Turok must not let that happen.

Adon: A beautiful and peaceful alien adviser for Turok.

Triceratops: This huge friendly Dinosaur helps Turok defeat his enemies in the River of Souls.

THE ENEMIES: All of the creatures are fearsome, dangerous, and intelligent that Turok must defeat. There are several species of creatures that has their own race.

THE DINOSOIDS & THROWBACKS: Engineered by the Primagen, the Dinosoids are a terrible enemy because they are dinosaur-hybrids armed with weapons and are much more intelligent than their predecessors. They despise humankind. The Throwbacks are of the last of the great dinosaurs but they are still as dangerous as they were back millions of
years before.

Raptoids: The Raptoids are fierce creatures. Just as dangerous as the Raptors, the Raptoids with their razor sharp claws and quickness can shred their foe with one strike!

Entrails: These large beasts has the equipment to stop any enemy. With their laser mounted guns and cloaking devices they can be a formidable opponent.

The Fireborn: Nearly identical like the Entrail, the Fireborn are just as dangerous and can live in the hot molten lava!

Raptor: One of the most vicious creatures that ever walked the face of the Earth! About nine feet in length, they can run at an incredible speed and lunge at their prey with their huge toe claws!

Leapers: These reptilian quadrupeds come at you with a leaping feline action, razor sharp teeth, and claws ready to rip up some skin! They are excellent swimmers!

Compy: These little green lock necked dinosaurs are no reptile to mess with when they are scavenging!

Dimorphodons: Flying reptiles with big teeth!

THE DEADKIN: In the wasted land known as Deadside, The World of the Dead is where the Deadkin are located. These deadly beings of death are about to make their move invading and will stop at nothing to kill Turok.

Deadmen and Deadmen Halves: The Deadmen are like zombies but only worse! Even when you think you got em down for the count they just keep on comin!

Lords of the Dead: Big and tall are the Lords of the Dead. They are not what Turok had in mind for a date with more monsters!

The Three Sisters of Despair: These devilish severed blue beauties resurrect the dead and can cast many evil spells on Turok.

THE PUR-LINN: The Pur-Linn, a race of large simian creatures located in the Death Marshes. They only knew the basic ways of evolution. When the Campaigner was reigning supreme he broke the laws of nature by teaching the Pur-Linn things such as strategy and how to use weaponry against a warrior known as Turok. This made the Pur-Linn a primitive but aggressive bipedal specie. Now the Pur-Linn, given weapons by the Primagen strike against Fireseed.

The War Clubs: The War Clubs are huge hominoids and they use their brute strength against their enemies. Gunners: They look just like them though smaller than the War Clubs, what they have is something extra which is a rock gun that can pulverize invaders.

The Juggernauts: The Juggernauts is just what they are. These monstrous primate-like Pur-Linn have been given special armor and weapons just in case of any danger.

THE BLIND ONES: The Blind Ones have lived underground in a massive lair for many centuries. Because of the darkness they have lost their eyes and their skin is very fragile to sunlight but they do have excellent hearing and sense of smell. Some say they can hear an intruder from far distances. Unable to produce fine armor like the Flesh Eaters, they are able to find and use bones and fur of dead creatures as clothes and weapons. Like their decedents, the Flesh Eaters, the Blind Ones are carnivorous and have a craving for flesh. Like their far away relatives that can handle weapons against enemies excellently.

Guardians: The tusked Guardians wield a mean ax bow weapon. Even though the Guardians may not be in the best shape they move quickly and can shoot their weapon with incredible skill.

Sentinels: The fast moving horned and muscular Sentinels are remarkably strong. They wield huge axes and can slice through the thickest of bodies.

The Eye: A huge tentacle beast that has larvae ready to strike against Turok!

THE MANTIDS: An intelligent alien specie of insecta. The Mantids' home world is far beyond the known galaxy. They possess superior technology and fighting skills. The Mantids and the Primagen have made a bargain that if they defeat Turok he will grant them new planets to infest.

Mites: These buggers are a pest, plain and simple. They hatch out of eggs quickly with only one instinct: Kill Turok!

Workers: Workers are the ones that make sure everything is going as planned in the Mantids' huge hive.

Drones: Equipped with laser firing weapons and flight packs the Drones are a dangerous enemy.

Soldiers: Towering over the other Mantids, the excellently built Soldiers are armed with many weapons are unusually tough and perilous.

Mantid Queen: The largest and most dangerous Mantid! She has many things in store for Turok!

THE PRIMAGEN'S MINIONS: The Primagen has not only have the hands of species from the planet and outer space for him to succeed but he also has his own creation of living mechanical organisms.

Trooper: What world they originally came from isn't known but it seems like these minions were originally in the mollusk family. These tall warriors of mixed proportions mean business with their rapid firing weapons!

Bio-Bot: These multi-eyed droids are very quick and shoot an enemy just as fast they move!

Elite Guard: What world they originally came from is unknown but it seems like these minions were originally in the mollusk family. These tall warriors of mixed proportions mean business with their rapid firing weapons!

The Mother: A huge beastly Cyclops that evolves into unspeakable proportions!

THE FLESH EATERS: These cyclopsian humanoid monsters, like their predecessors the Blind Ones, are carnivores and very mean. They crave human flesh, wielding big ax-like weapons, and heavy fire power fire arms.

Sentinels: Extremely fast and very dangerous, the Sentinels are very grouchy and they are in no mood for a Turok coming their way but they'll greet him with their best friend which is a massive sword blade!

Death Guard: Not as fast but higher in rank than the Sentinels, these monsters wear thick armor and are hard to defeat.

Lords of the Flesh: The highest ranking of the Flesh Eaters are the Lords of the Flesh. Wearing thick armor of the thickest substance with weapons more powerful than one can imagine. These freakasoids are mean, aggressive, and has one bad attitude!

ARACHNIDS, INSECTS, & VERMIS' (WORMS):

Hatchlings: Little baby spiders ready to bite Turok!

Adults: Bigger than the Hatchlings and they pack a bigger punch for Turok!

Giant Cave Spiders: These spiders are as large an elephant! Arachnids don't get much larger than these venom spitting pets of the Blind Ones.

Swamp Wasps: A distant Sceliphron Caementarium specie (Mud Dauber), When felt threatened that their kind and their nest is in danger they sting deadly venom to intruders.

Skimmers: These silver creatures come through the ground in a swimming up and down manner like a Delphinidae specie (Dolphin) at their victims biting away. They are sometimes in the control of the Sentinels in the massive underground lair.

Cave Worm: Big single eyed worms with fan-like fins they have on their back is one the unique things about them. They attack their prey with huge lashing tongues.

Fire Worm: An extremely dangerous specie.

OTHER CREATURES & BEASTS: There are even more dangers out there. Some of these dangers may be small but they can give Turok a good fight!

Nala: Nala is a specie of unknown origin. Its appears they are key keepers in the lair. Every individual looks identical with two thick long back legs and two short in the front. The rear legs help the bizarre creatures stand and hop. Language is questionable but communication is obvious.

Game Play: The game play is flawless in My opinion. The controls are easy to learn. Anyone who has played Doom and games similar should love the control this game has to offer!

Graphics: The graphics are simply beautiful. The sky, water, enemies, everything is marvelous but your really in for a treat with the N64 Expansion Pak!

Difficulty: The game has three difficulty levels, Easy, Normal, and Hard. The easy level is good especially for novice players. Normal is a decent difficulty setting and gives the player a good challenge. The hard level is great for players who want an extremely difficult game!

Music: One of the things I just adore about Turok 2 is the music! The music is so wonderful. I love the choir or voices in level two and level five. Some of level three's music sounds like the Rite of Spring. Some music sounds similar like Holst and Ravel in My opinion! I feel that this is one of the greatest musical scores ever in a video game! In fact, its arguably one of the greatest musical pieces ever written in My opinion!

Sound: The sound is great. Everything sounds so realistic! Its just remarkable!
