I never played this game before I got it, and Im glad I didnt. I got this game as a gift, and the first time I put it in and started to play, I felt cheated. It had weird characters that Id never seen before, and I was a little confused over the point of the game. The pak sat for about six months, until on some whim I decided to pick it up, hoping now Id be able to get my well deserved jollies. Result: I loved it. What went wrong before?
I guess that sixth months gave me time to contemplate over the game, and set out my mission. Okay, maybe it didnt, but at any rate, I now love this game. It has tons of courses to pick from, along with a mini golf course, and you can even battle your friends on multi-player. The characters that come with the game are like baby versions of the real thing. For instance, you dont get Mario, you get Baby Mario. But you can play certain characters (E.G. Luigi), and if you beat him, you can use that character in your regular line up.
Theres really a lot to say about this game, and not any of it is bad. It would be almost impossible for me to list in any detail all the courses and characters. But I do know one thing, and that is this game will have me glued to it for months to come. It never gets old, and there are always new things to accomplish. If you want to know what this game is about, dont waste your time reading the reviews, go out and rent it today.
If I had played this game before I became the proud owner of it, I probably would not be writing this review. So if you want to truly appreciate this game, you might have to give it a chance first. Im sure glad I did.
