K.I. Gold is still the best fighting game for the nintendo 64 nothing even comes close. I thoroughly enjoyed the original because of the massive hit combos and rocking sound, K.I. Gold featires this and more bringing good character balance and amazing gameplay modes.
K.I. gold was one of the first games for the N64 and it can still hold its own against many other N64 fighting games. The characters are well detailed with hardly any slowdown even when the action gets intense. The levels are very well rounded also giving us 2D but with a 3D feel when you knock people out of the arenas. running at 60 fps you can't go wrong with K.I. Gold.
Being a K.I. game it had to deliver rocking tunes and it doesn't disappoint giving us cool techno type music that will make you want to pump up the volume setting to the max. On the other hand K.I.'s sound fx's are slightly on the down side, the death screams are kinda of lame but other than that they are nothing but stellar.
K.I. Golds controls give you percise movenment although I recommend you use the D-pad instead of the analog stick becuase it can be a little to sensitive during combos. With training and practice you will master K.I.'s controls and you'll be doing 50 + hit combos in no time.
Get you friends together grab a copy of K.I. Gold and have combo slugfest that you screaming Killer combooo! in your sleep.
