In my opinion, this is the best motocross racing game developed yet for any system. This game has just about everything a great game needs. It is very fun and simple to play, yet difficult enough to stay exciting right up to the very end. There is an abundance of levels and difficulties of gameplay, and also a great replay value because you are rewarded with great special levels after beating certain modes.
Another great aspect of the game is the build your own track option that is available in very few other games. You are enabled to construct your own track with an assortment of jumps, turns, bumps, and straightaways. It is so detailed that you can customize a section of the track so it is just the way you like it.
A definite plus for this game are the graphics. They give great depth perception and a real feeling for your surroundings. Everything is clearly depictable due to the wonderful graphics. you can see just about every detail of the track, rider, outfit, and dirtbike because of the clarity and detail of the graphics.
not only does this game have great visual effects, but it also has unbelievable sound. It sounds like you are really at a motocross competition with the outstanding revving of engines, collisions, turbo boosts, and commmentaries by the announcer. I play this game on a regular television with stereo speakers, and it sounds great, so I'm guessing that the sound would be unbelievable with a surround sound system.
This is an unbelievable game that is great for all ages because it is easy to play, fun exciting, and will not get old anytime soon. I strongly recommend it to everybody who enjoys sports or racing games. If you like this game, I would also recommend "Waverace", "Jeremy McGrath Supercross 2000", "Road Rash", and "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater". These games also have the speed, the jumps, the tricks, and the graphics of "Excitebike 64".
