I'll admit, I bought this game purely on hype. I heard it was great from so many people that I just gave in and bought it. I'm sure glad I did! The most important factor in the greatness of this game is the huge amount of game modes. There is basic racing, stunt, a track editor and a really off-the-wall soccer mode. Earning this stuff takes a fair amount of practice giving the game tons of replay value. The one player mode alone will keep you busy for weeks. The races are tough, especially at first. Once you learn the cornering techniques it gets easier but remains challenging throughout. It's a sign of great game design when the challenge of a game keeps going up with your skills. Should you ever get bored with the one player modes, there are numerous multi-player modes as well. This will add literally months more to the replay value. This is a game you'll want to keep in your gaming library forever. I still play the original Excitebike (which is also included in this game) from time to time and I expect to do the same with this title in the future. It's so easy to pick up and play that I don't think I'll have to worry about forgeting how to play. Left Field Studios, congrats to you!
