First of all, many major video game magazines and web sites have rated this game 8-9 out of 10. Buying a nintendo video game can be expensive and to me, a big purchase. Well this game is sure not to dissapoint.
You can play up to 4 players. There is singles and doubles tournaments you can play with all sorts of different nintendo characters. Each character has different skills, which helps keep this game interesting and long lasting.
Also this game has some extra game modes, that are each unique and a different playing style. And there is a game mode for one player only, where you have to beat all the different characters to win the "trophy". There are so many different types of games you can play.
I had mario tennis for Nintendo 64 and was nervous that this new gamecube game wouldnt quite match up. Well after fifteen minutes of playing on gamecube, I am impressed because this new version has exceeded my expectations. A new feature is called "the power shot", and in the game book it will describe what you can do with it. Basically each character has their own individual power shot that can change the game up. You can choose to have the power shot mode on or off, just in case you aren't ready for the change yet.
This game is great because young and old can play. Whether you like tennis or not, or sports games, this game deserves a chance. It may take a little time to get used to the different tennis moves and controls, but within a short amount of time you will grow quite comfortable with the game.
So I definitely recommend this to anyone out there, being a picky gamer. Hope this helps!
