It's Good But.....
Pros: Easy to learn
Cons: Graphics (it was meant for the original Game Boy which has 16 bits)
The bottom line: It's simple: if you don't have another system to play it on, like an N64, but have a Game Boy, get it. If not, get a different version.

NHL 2000 for game Boy is good, but does not have good graphics.
You have several modes: Quick Start (an instant exhibition game); Exhibition; New Season; New Playoffs; Game Restore (saves season & playoff games) & shootout.
It has a password system for seasons & playoffs. This is a good idea, but you see they give you a password after a game & as you get more & more into the season, the password gets longer & longer. It's even worse in the playoffs. You better double check when you right down that password. The control of the players is pretty good. You can turn around on a dime. For some reason though, I always seem to lose the puck when avoiding a player. The players on my team seem to be stupid too. Most of the players go a head of you when you just get to the blue line, causing offside constantly. Just set offside in the rules option off have it quit from happening. I found it strange but, it appears that you can't play against someone else via game link. You can however play it against someone on the Super Nintendo using the Super Game Boy adapter (I don't know who actually has a Super NES anymore but some people do). The game though is good for people who can't afford to play or buy a PC, Playsation, or N64 to play it on.
