Pros: Great game play, graphics, sound,and control is better than psx version
Cons: No voice...a good thing..?

Metal Gear games have reached about every ssystem, NES, SNES,PSX....and now GBC, something all hardcore gamers have been waiting for, for a long time. Pokemon may be tops in the market, but Metal Gear Solid is the best for GBC. It proves that Nintendo isn't JUST cute games. Metal Gear Solid is nothing like that. It reminds me of the NES, I mean MGS2 is coming out for PS2 in 2001, the PS2 is about 132 bits. Im playing Metal Gear Solid on an 8 bit portable machine! That doesnt mean it doesn't have good graphics or gameplay. No. Not the least, read my review on it, it my help you to decide if you want to buy it. For the people who have played it, read this to see if its an accurate review. Here it is:

Control. Control can make a good game go bad. Metal Gear Solid for Game Boy Color has good control, easy to move around, better than the psx version. Although it does have SOME flaws, its not the best but it will suit you fine. I'm also focusing on the average gamer, but I thought controls were great! Overall, above average control. 4/5

Graphics. You don't want a good game with bad graphics, now do you? Well Metal Gear SOlid has a lot of different colors, very vibrant. Its not as dark as MGS for PSX. You can see your character just fine, and the guards, you can see those fine too! Its fun to look at, Konami did a good job! Overall, great graphics! 5/5

Sound. No cheesey music and voices....no voices at all actually. You don't get to hear Snakes voice, or his smooth talk. But his voice might have been cheesey on the GBC, they didn't want Solid Snake's voice to sound bad! The music is basicly like the PSX version, a guard lurks around the corner! Alert!! The music changes when something like that happens! ALthough, when the people do speak you just hear the voice level, the mumble. Thats the only reason why it's not perfect sound. Overall, great sound! No voice though. Maybe a good thing. 4 1/2 out of 5.

Gameplay. This game is fun! Just downright entertaining! Every system needs a game like this. Your life well never be this exciting, but you can do it in a video game. Save the world when you're on a road trip, or maybe at lunch time at school. Or just play it, like a regular console. Great game, challenging, very fun. It will pull you in for hours. Overall, great game play! The best GBC game! overall, 10/5, hehe, 5/5.
