Pros: Gameplay, Replay Value, Graphics
Cons: Music, Bosses are too easy
Full review
I just rented this game and I was amazed at how great it is. It excels in every aspect of a good game.
Graphics: Not perfectly detailed, but this is supposed to look semi-childish. Everything is well defined and the rooms of the house are large, yet there is rarely any slow-down in the frame rate.
Audio: Euro-techno-pop music, but its not TOO bad. I can live with it at least. The sounds of the guns firing and missles being launched are great, plus the engine sounds.
Gameplay: Wow. This game knows exactly what to do when it comes to gameplay. The game will give you missions such as "Defend your base for 2 minutes", "Find your deserted mercenaries" or "Destroy the giant monster-toy that is burning down the toy town." This game uses variety. You also have missions where you use air units, ground units, or both to complete it. The one flaw is that the bosses are too easy to defeat. There is a multiplayer game as well. You and up to 3 other players get to fight it out with the units of the game in any of the rooms you have unlocked. Very fun and even more addicting. Still, no drop in frame rate.
Replay Value: Pretty good replay value. To get certain playable characters, you must beat levels in a certain time. Many sound impossible, but can be done with practice. You could buy this game and be playing it for months, trying to ace every level in the game.
