At first glance, I wasn't sure if this game had what it takes. It took, oh, 14 seconds to get rid of that impression. The game starts off with a great FMV of the kid (shown on the cover) making chopper-blade noises and flying his helicopter around. In a well-done transition, the kid disappears and the chopper starts launching missiles (pencils, actually) at enemy tanks.

Your task is to defeat each room of the house. You do this buy completing a certain number of missions in each room. If you can do five of these missions in the room faster than the room's "boss", then you and your toys will go toe-to-toe with the boss of the room (be it a robot, or a bulldozer, etc). Beat all the rooms and you're done. Sounds quick, right? I've had the game for a month and haven't come close to beating it.

Sometimes you'll have to rescue your brave firemen so they can save your burning city (in the middle of the living room), or you go on a rescue mission to save all your green plastic soldiers. Or engage in an all out battle and destroy the enemy's planes. You can even destroy the king roach by ... I don't want to give out any hints :)

Bottom line - buy this game, and buy it now. You'll want to replay the
levels over and over again, and if you've got someone to engage in a little dogfighting capture the flag with, the multi-player version is top-notch!

The only down side is that people rebounding from racing simulations and other driving games might find the controls a little loose and unrealistic -- but that just adds to the feel of controlling a toy, that, in the hands of a boy, is capable of a lot more than a real vehicle can do.
