The bottom line: This game will amaze you, get it. Great moves, gameplay, unique modes, Roleplaying area It gives you what you want. Its whats for dinner!
This game is the reason Namco needs to make more games for Dreamcast and one of the reasons to buy a Dreamcast.

Namco made a better than arcade conversion in every way. The controls are much better than in the Arcade and can be used by a 6 year old and up. Graphically it's the best on console. It even does better than VF3 which in my eyes held the title.

The sound is great with all new music, but the gameplay and replay value is what makes it so great.

Already the best arcade fighter (until Tekken Tag Tournament came along) it's better on console with the mission mode (like edge master mode on Soul Blade). Instead of getting weapons you fight for points that open up all types of new features like still CG images, a new level and more.

~Getting characters~

Classic Namco home conversion style. When you beat the game you get the time release characters. All this keeps you coming back for more. The Characters you unlock are all very unique, and most of them are old friends from previous, great fighting games.

~The Characters~

The charcters themselves are all very unique. there are the typical slow powerhouse fighters, the quick and weaker fighters, and then some all around fighters. Each character posseses their own special weapon, whether it is a massive battle axe, samurai sword or daggers. Here are a few of my favorite characters:

:Cervantes:

Cervantes is a Pirate who is quick and agile yet has some very good moves. His weapons are two cutlasses which he hold in opposite hands and cuts you down well with. His coolest move is when he pick the opponent up and sticks the daggers through him and slashes them out. this move is similar to a scene in gladiator when Maximus is fighting his first gladiator battle and jams the two swords in the guys chest. NOTE: Be prepared to have to beat a few levels to unlock cervantes. It is well worth your time

:Yoshumitzu:
A classic character in many great fighting games. His great appearance and deadly sword make him a fun and very good person to use to win the game. His best move a very silly one and fun. It is when he takes his sword and uses it as a pogo stick. He bounces, out of harms way and comes down on the opponent for a crushing blow.

~ The controls~

The controls for the game are astounding. It is easy to make great combos and to fight with skills, not just random bashing of the buttons. I have been able to block, dodge, and counter everything now, like I am the fighter, not the controller. Each player contains great special moves which can be done and memorized quickly. Not a Up, Left Righ, A, B C all while jumping, but more like a 2 button simultaniously combo to make a great move that looks awesome and can win you a battle.

~The Summary~
It's the best fighter game on the market.Make sure you get this one. the chracters, the moves, the scenes, the missions, the adventure. This game has it all. Go try it for yourself and be amazed. Immerse yourself in it's 3D world of excitement and endless hours of fun, with friends or single player.
