Sonic is and always has been one of Sega's mainstays and what made Sega who they really are (which is some of the best game developers in the world bar none!) and I have fond memories of playing Sonic 16-bit style in years past.

Now the question is is Sonic Adventure on the Sega Dreamcast really worth it or is it not even worth your consideration?

Simply put, IMO (In My Opinion) it stands a great game that any platform adoring fan should have on the Sega Dreamcast.
The visuals definetly show why this game is a 128 Bit game but since graphics dont make a game ( Many an example I could make for here, but for the sancitity of the review I wont) Many of the stages have some very impressive visuals that astounded me and although like I said graphics dont make the game, if they gameplay is rock-solid, it adds a whole new dimension and just makes the game that much better all around.

What makes this game fun and unique is not just the ability to play multiple characters which there are 5 characters each with their own abilities such as Knuckles (my personal fave), Sonic, Amy, a Robot and some big guy who fishes.

What makes this game have a lot of replay value is the ability to grow and hatch little pikachu type creatures and then race them against other little pikachus after you have trained them enough. Very fun and makes for some unique gameplay.

The storyline is your typical Sonic fare but with great graphics and a plot that revolves around all 5 characters intertwined, it makes for some good times and allow for you to see the story through the eyes of all the characters at various points in the story.

As for the challenges of the game, say such as bosses, this game has them in spades! Some of the bosses you face are quite challenging and have some special effects graphically speaking that will impress you Im SURE!

Now if I have any Gripes at all, it would have to be the rather obtuse camera angles that can often hinder gameplay but is just a rather minor annoyance in the whole grand scheme of things.

In retrospect, I feel like if you enjoy Sonic games or just the platform/action adventure genre, this game is a cant miss and is worthy of your money. This game is a great addition to anyone who has the Sega Dreamcast and now can be found for relatively cheap so its well worth your gaming dollars!
