Pros: Wi-Fi Connection, tons of games for everyone, no batteries to be used ever!
Cons: Dust can collect in the corner of the screens making cleaning hard but not impossible.
The bottom line: You cannot go wrong with the Nintendo DS. I promise you will have a great time and have so much fun with it! You won't regret getting it!

Nintendo DS is one of the best gaming experiences ever! I have the PSP and the Nintendo DS, I have to say I play the Nintendo DS a lot more! It is just a whole different way to play games! It is so much fun, and I really don't know what I would do without mine.
Do you know how many games you can get for this system??? Tons and tons and tons! Guess what... IT IS ALSO MADE FOR GIRLS! The first time I have ever seen so many girl games. I was jumping off the walls I was so excited to get girl games! The Nintendo can even come in PINK. How amazing is that???
One of the things that makes the Nintendo DS stand out from all the others is using the stylus to play your games. This is what makes it so fun! You move your characters around using the stylus, pick things up using the stylus, play basketball, catch bugs and butterflies! Everything is done by touching the screen.
The first game I played on this was Cooking Mama 2, and what an amazing experience that was! If there is a onion on the bottom screen you follow the directions on how to cut up that onion using your stylus. You can cook, select food, put things in frying pans and stir it around using your stylus!
Don't worry about the pressure you put on your screen because it is very durable. I have not had any problems yet and I have been told I write pretty hard. Of course try to be easy with it but it is very well made.
You can also use Wi-Fi (wireless internet). You can talk to people and play games with people using the wireless internet. You will know which games you can use Wi-Fi with because they will have this on it: nintendo Wi-Fi connection. To use the Wi-Fi at home you will need an active broadband internet account, a wireless access point, such as wireless router or the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector.
Nintendo DS also offers PictoChat. This allows you to use the DS to send and receive wireless messages and pictures from other DS users. Pictochat is NOT an internet application. You can communicate with up to 15 other DS users within range of your DS.
There is an on-screen keyboard that functions like a simple computer keyboard. You can also select the keyboard style you want from five different ones.
The DS will keep your time and a calendar with the day it is highlighted.
You can select the background color on your screen, put in your birthday, and your very own user name.
If you are a owner of the Gameboy Advanced then GOOD NEWS FOR YOU! You can also play your Gameboy Advanced games in your DS. There is a slot for Advanced games and a slot for DS.
You can adjust your screen to either have a low light or a high light. On the lowest light your DS will last for probably up to 20 hours.
DS does not use batteries! Thank goodness! You get a charger with your DS and just charge it up when the power runs out. When you are playing a game and your power is about to go out a message will come up on the screen and warn you to save your game. How cool is that! So that means I never loose any of my game time.
Overall I have to say that I LOVE the Nintendo DS. I would recommend it to anyone who is old enough to know how to take care of it.
They even have toddler/children games for the DS! So that means all the girls and all the children were lucky when this came out!
If your trying to decide between this and the PSP....
The PSP of course has better graphics and I love my PSP too. It is just that the DS is a different gaming experience and plus I use it more!
