If you want to start yourself a home studio, this is the pivotal point to begin with. The soundcard will deliver perfect quality music for the average listener, and amazing recording for the home studio artist. I have this and Cubase SX 2.0, and my studio sounds better than a friends who has spent over 10,000 dollars on his studio that does not go into the computer. Trust me, computer recording is the way to go. I have unlimited space of recording...and I use my computer for other stuff and the Sound card delivers VERY LOW LATENCY and amazing recording quality and if you ever want to start a home studio on your computer this is the place to start. and trust me you may think the price is steep for a sound card, but for a professional studio quality recording sound card this is CHEAP...buy this for sure musicians. 6 input and 8 line outputs and 2 mic Preamps!!!! plus digital midi in and out and everything...this is perfect.
